American Sensor Technologies Named Among New Jersey’s Fastest Growing Technology Companies
Mount Olive, NJ, August 21, 2006 -- American Sensor Technologies, a NJ-based manufacturer of state-of-the-art, MEMS-based pressure sensors, transducers, and transmitters, ranked twenty-seventh in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Program for New Jersey, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the state by Deloitte & Touche LLP. This is the third consecutive year that American Sensor Technologies has been ranked in the program. Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over five years, from 2001 – 2005. Last year, AST placed twenty-fifth and in 2004, AST placed fifth.

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have base-year operating revenues of at least $50,000 and current-year operating revenues of at least $1,000,000 in 2005. The company must be headquartered in North America, own proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of its operating revenues and devote a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology. Winners of the 19 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in North America are automatically entered into the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America’s top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
